Round 4 of the Tasmanian Small Business Advice Grant is now open and offers up to $1,500 worth of business advice for eligible Tasmanian Businesses including marketing assistance - read more here. One of the top level eligibility criteria is that you had an annual business sales turnover of more than $40,000 last financial year.

This round, we are booking projects in for your selected month over the next 12 months. We currently have projects booking in January 2025 but if you apply and are successful it’s likely we can start earlier as projects are rescheduled regularly. Places are limited, so get in touch early to secure your ideal time slot. All of our marketing packages below work towards strengthening your brand and online appeal to potential customers, therefore fit within the grant parameters. We focus on offering you a good mix of support and guidance so you’ll leave with new knowledge and be better equipped to improve your marketing activity and Tasmanian small business’ online presence.

Small business grant packages

Our $1,500 marketing packages fit neatly into the grant round. They all work towards improving your online presence and identifying marketing activities to undertake to achieve positive change and growth. You just pay the claimable GST portion and receive marketing assistance, care of the Tasmanian government, to help your small business pivot and change to the challenges we are facing in the current economy and technological shifts. ⚡ Marketing strategy and online consulting - Your own small business marketing action plan to improve your marketing and brand along with some custom training and services so you can market your small business more effectively. Includes 3 x 1 hour online marketing consulting sessions for implementation guidance. Read more about our flagship Marketing Strategy Package here.

⚡ SEO upskilling and plan - Learn enough about SEO and how to improve it for your small business to be dangerous. Upskill and better understand what SEO is and how you can use it to effectively improve your business visibility online. Includes keyword research, strategy development and 3 x 1 hour online consulting sessions for guidance.

⚡ Website design improvement strategy - If your small business website isn’t representing you as it should but you don’t know how to use it to improve your online presence this package will help. Find out how to improve your website so your business is represented in an appealing manner and allows you to get more traffic and higher conversion rates.

⚡ Online visibility booster plan - We guide you on how you can make easy and simple improvements to your content, design and imagery on your website to improve your business’ appeal online. Get a good understanding of your current position search ranking-wise and some SEO improvements on your website to make your website more visible to your target market.

⚡ Launch your website plan - Receive expert guidance, and get your website live, on either Wordpress, Shopify or Squarespace with support. Receive help making the important decisions and planning your website to make the project less daunting, all with the help of an online marketing consultant who has been working on websites for over 18 years. 2 x 2 hour virtual meetings at the planning and midway point then a 1 hour virtual session to wrap up and cover testing.

⚡ Digital advertising lift off strategy - Learn how to master the art of digital advertising with Meta or Google advertising and get assistance with the set up process (which can be really overwhelming). Our packages are a mix of gathering insight and include set up. You just bring your advertising budget (you can start with as little as $2 per day and scale up).

⚡ Grand brand plan - Get guidance and advice and a plan on how to grow and develop your brand so you know which marketing activity to undertake to effectively promote your business. Get creative with messaging and with expert brand consultant guidance.

⚡ Social media smooth out strategy - Struggling with the stress of trying to figure out what to post? This package will help you feel more organised and develop a list of creative content ideas to make it all feel easier. Receive help designing templates in Canva and find out how you can make your socials flow better. You’ll need a Canva subscription to get the most out of this package.

⚡ Marketing campaign strategy - If your cashflow is an issue at the moment, we can develop you a specific strategy to more effectively convert your leads and reach the right people.

⚡ Product and service innovation plan - We can help you develop ideas and a strategy to pivot and change your business offering so that you can meet the needs, using what you have in a new and creative way.

Are you an even smaller Tasmanian business? There is a micro business loan scheme - for even smaller businesses looking to invest in their business. You may be able to receive up to $3,000 for eligible Tasmanian micro businesses.

There are a few eligibility requirements. The three main criteria are:

1. Possession of a current healthcare card, pension card, DVA card, or low income healthcare card OR a gross income of $55,000 or less;

2. Live in stable accommodation (exceptions can be made in some cases); and

3. The capacity to repay the loan.

What to do when you’ve selected the marketing package that is right for your business:

1. Check that you’re eligible for the loan scheme.

2. Email us (or book a call) noting your selected package, your business name, your website address and any important deadlines.

3. We will help facilitate your application.

4. Submit and cross fingers!
