I've never understood why so many people don't follow their business and career dreams with more vigor. "I've got an idea for a business" is a phrase I've heard over and over and my response is always "why don't you just do it, then?". Yes, there are a number of annoying challenges and barriers to success but if you are persistent and patient and put in the hard yards and go into the process with an open mind it's rare that they can't all be overcome. The reason the airy fairy "vision board" concept or the whole "Secret" idea sometimes works is that people who commit to a dream and throw their whole selves behind it are the people that most often make it.
"I don't have enough money to start it off" - find an investor or change your business plan so that you can start without any.
"I don't know whether people would buy my product" - you will never know if you never try and you can always be flexible and mould it to better suit your market.
"I'm scared of failure". Make your own definition of failure. Mine is "if I don't at least give it a good try then I've failed".
There is never a right or wrong time to launch your own business and if you don't take the plunge you'll never know where that journey might have taken you.
So. What the hell are you waiting for?
