When things are slowing down it can be super stressful for us small businesses. Here are five top tips you can try today to get more customers or clients through the door and create new opportunities fast.
1. Pick up the phone
You can do as much promotion and marketing as you like but if you’re not picking up the phone to follow up, you’re missing out on business. Personal contact goes a long way! Follow up leads that are active and connect with people who you know might be able to help you find more customers and raise awareness of your small business fast.
2. Re-engage with your past customers and clients and upsell
Your past customers and clients who already have had a positive experience with you are your biggest fans. If you don’t have an email list you can build one. But personal contact goes a long way and even better if you can consider the business you’ve done or the products they’ve bought in the past, and suggest something else you offer or sell they might be interested in.
3. Launch a basic set of A.I. digital ads on either meta or Google
You don’t have to have a big budget and can start on as little as $2 a day but running ads will deliver you new website traffic and increase awareness of your business with data and insights that prove that. The ads that run more frequently can also give you hints as to what kind of messages your ideal target market respond best to also.
4. Ask your past clients for testimonials and feature them on your socials and website
You can also create case studies on projects if you’re service based to showcase how your work benefits your customers and what the process looks like.
5. Do a website audit and make improvements
Better still, ask one of your brutally honest friends how you can improve your website.
